About
Shane Rice
Technical Product Manager / Senior Software Engineer
After growing up with two software developers as parents and spending my childhood immersed in technology, I knew early on that I wanted to pursue a career in software. From building computers to creating games, I fell in love with solving problems and crafting solutions. For me, work isn’t just a job—it’s a passion.
Over the last 8 years, I’ve developed a diverse and robust skill set through hands-on experience. At Mon Amie Bridal Salon, I managed the entire IT infrastructure solo, maintaining a network of over 15 systems connected to a server daily. This role taught me invaluable lessons about problem-solving, adaptability, and working directly with people to improve their workflows.
I transitioned into software development at Crescent Software, where I created ERP solutions for businesses like Pop Chips, Anita's Mexican Food, and Direct Pack Inc. I became a jack of all trades—scoping, designing, programming, implementing, and training users both onsite and remotely. At C3 Business Solutions, I worked in the Oracle ecosystem, building customizations and web portals for large companies like Mothers Car Polish and Simple Green.
At AE Studio, I started as a Full Stack Engineer, building web applications for clients across various industries. I progressed to become a Technical Product Manager, where I now lead cross-functional teams of designers and developers to turn client visions into reality. My role involves managing agile workflows, maintaining backlogs, and ensuring that projects deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions that meet both client objectives and technical best practices.
I’m passionate about creating software that solves real-world problems, and I thrive in fast-paced environments where I can collaborate with teams to innovate and deliver impactful solutions. Beyond work, I love surfing and traveling, which keep me grounded and inspired. These hobbies allow me to connect with different cultures, explore new perspectives, and recharge my creativity.
I’m always eager to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact in the software development space.
